Passed away peacefully at the West Gippsland Hospital, Warragul on March 1st 2025, aged 90 years.
Dearly loved daughter of Alan and Jean York (both dec).
Loving sister and sister-in-law of Don and Barbara (dec), Ian and Margaret, Alan and Pam (dec)
and Val, Lynette and David Buntine.
Treasured aunt of 14 nieces and nephews, and great and great-great aunt to many.
She was the hub of our family.
Devoted and dear friend of Jill Dixon for over 50 years.
A very cherished lady who gave so much to so many.
May God hold her in the palm of his hand.
Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Alan, Pam (dec) and Val.
Treasured aunt of Yvonne and Stephen, Leeta and Alec, Merv and Katharine.
Beloved great-aunt of Matt and Mikaela, Steph and Amos, Harrison and Chantelle, and Jacob.
Cherished great-great aunt of Finley and Lucie, George and Harvey.
Valerie’s gifts in hospitality and caring, drew our extended family together across the generations.
She will always be treasured and missed.
At peace with her loving Saviour.
Made it to 90 last year! What fun!

A Service to celebrate the life of Valerie (Val) York will be held at the Warragul Anglican Church,
96 Victoria St, Warragul on FRIDAY (March 7) at 2 p.m.​​​

A Private Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Val may be made to the Fairview Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
