Nielsen Funerals can assist the family with the drafting of death and funeral notices and ensure that they are placed in the local and national newspapers of your choice.
A death notice advises people of the death and often includes the details of date and place of death. Most families choose to place a main family notice which includes these details as well as the family names and often ends with a little personal statement or verse.
Personal death notices can also be placed following the main death notice.
The funeral notice advises people of the location, date and time that the funeral service is being held. Notices are also published on our website (Click here to view)
If the family choose to request donations in lieu of flowers this is usually stated at the bottom of the funeral notice. Donation envelopes are then supplied by Nielsen Funerals and displayed with the donation box as people arrive at the funeral service.
