​Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Hillview Bunyip after a brave battle with dementia.
​Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Mark & Sandy, Tracey & Rod, Jamie & Tania,
Dale & Noni, and Alan.
​Adored Nanny Wong of Cassie & Chris, Dylan & Ash, Beth & Georgie, Brianna & Rob, Beau,
Caleb & Chloe, Jai & Grace, Liam & Ava, Jake, Jedd & April, Jonah & Tahlia.
​Cherished Great Nan of Mason & Jax, Kaiden, Austin & Brady, Kodie & Frankie,
Ava & Aria and Addie & Bella.

The Most Valuable Player has now arrived in heaven. One that is strong, passionate, independent, brave, and so loving!
Nan dementia may have dimmed the memories at times, but it never dimmed the light you brought to our lives.
Thank you for every lesson, every piece of advice, every hug, and every story-even the ones you told twice or simply thought were true.
I know we will find comfort knowing you are now rid of that horrible disease and are now at peace, with your most precious memories restored.
Nan you will live on in our hearts and memories forever!

Mum, thank you for providing such a loving and fun childhood and for all your unwavering love and support throughout the different stages of our journey.

You were an amazing role model with your independence, resilience and strong work ethic in challenging times along with your caring, empathetic and welcoming nature, all traits that will continue to live on through us all into the future.
​
Family was always No. 1. You were our biggest supporter and we know that you will continue to cheer us on proudly from above.

A Service to celebrate the life of Gwen Serong, late of Longwarry, will be held at the
Nielsen Funeral Chapel, Korumburra Rd, Warragul on FRIDAY (December 5) at 11 a.m.

The Service will also be live-streamed.

(The live-stream will commence about fifteen minutes prior to the start of the service but until the service begins only a holding image will be displayed. The link will remain available for approximately 4 weeks after the Service as a recording.)

At the conclusion of the Service the cortege will leave for the Drouin Cemetery,
160 Longwarry Rd, Drouin.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Gwen may be made to Hillview Bunyip Aged Care. Envelopes will be available at the Chapel.
