Passed away unexpectedly at home on the 5th of June, 2026.
Aged 71 years.
Dearly loved and loving husband of Richie Emmerson.
Much loved father of Gareth, Tara, Ryan, Charlene and Sophia, father-in-law of Joey.
Adored grandfather of Odin and Phoenix.
Dearly loved son of Rhonda and Walter (both dec),
brother and brother-in-law of Murray and Shona, Phyllis, and Judy.

My beloved husband, best friend and soulmate passed away unexpectedly on the 5th of
June 2026.
Thank you for the love, laughter and beautiful memories we shared.
You were my greatest support, my strength and my home.
No words can express how deeply you are loved and how greatly you will be missed.
Forever loved, forever missed and forever in our hearts.

A Service to celebrate the life of Dr Doug Emmerson will be held at the Lardner Park
Events Centre, Burnt Store Rd, Lardner (entry via Gate 4) on THURSDAY (June 18) at 11 a.m

The Service will also be live-streamed.

​​​At the conclusion of the Service the cortege will leave for the Gulwarra Heights Memorial Park, 378 Burke St, Warragul.
To reflect Doug’s love of the Hawthorn Football Club you are invited to wear a touch of
brown and gold.
