Bishop Greg Bennet and the Priests and Deacons of the Diocese are saddened by his
death on 23 January 2026.
Aged 68 years.
Ordained as a priest on 24 August 1996, Fr Bernie served in the Parishes of Narre Warren, Cranbourne and Sale as Assistant Priest, and Foster/Yarram and Trafalgar as Parish Priest.
May he rest in peace.

Pontifical Concelebrated Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of
Rev. Fr. Bernard (Bernie) Krotwaar will be offered at St John’s Catholic Church,
Waterloo Rd, Trafalgar on TUESDAY (February 3) at 11 a.m.
