Nielsen Funerals COVID Statement and Information
On Monday 9 August the Victorian government announced that restrictions would ease for Regional Victoria.
As of Friday 10 September
In Regional Victoria a maximum of 20 people are able to attend a funeral service.
Due to the restriction on the number of people able to attend a funeral service it is expected
that many families may still have no option but to have a funeral service by invitation only.
The lockdown will remain in place for Metropolitan Victoria..
In "Metropolitan" Victoria a maximum of 10 people are able to attend a funeral service.
The above maximum numbers do not include infants under 12 months old or those required to conduct the funeral service.
It is also subject to the size of funeral venue with the density requirement of
a maximum one person per four square metres for public safety.
Nielsen Funerals continues to follow guidelines from the Department of Health.
Our primary concern is for the health and safety of the families we serve, their loved ones, the community and our staff. Nielsen Funerals continue to provide our client families will full funeral options to honour their loved one,
including catering with COVID safe measures,
Face masks must be worn at funeral services unless an exemption applies.
Check in via QR code is required
QR codes are supplied at funeral venues for contact tracing.
The staff at Nielsen Funerals are able to assist and check in those who do not carry a mobile phone.

With the permission of the family, Nielsen Funerals can continue to
live-stream and record Services from our Chapel and other venues.
You are very welcome to use our website to send a condolence message,
This can be done as either a public comment or private message which will then be forwarded to the family.
A digital copy of service booklets and/or keepsake cards can also be emailed to those unable to attend
funeral services by emailing email@example.com
Please state the name of the person whose booklet or keepsake you would like and we will forward it to you when possible.
As a precautionary measure, if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms
we would respectfully suggest that you do not attend a funeral service.
